Depart the shuttle at the Temple of Sinawava. Hike one-mile on the paved Riverside Walk. Walk into the Virgin River to start your hike into the Zion Narrows.
Perhaps its most famous and easily accessible slot canyon, the Narrows welcomes thousands of hikers each year. There’s no path in this part, as hikers wade in and out of the river as they head up canyon. It’s a perfect illustration of the Virgin River carving this rock-scape, which at the “Wall Street” section, is 22 feet wide with canyon walls that rise 2000 feet above you.
It’s an unforgettable hike. Our tip: rent the right gear, wear a warm layer, and start early in the morning. The hike just isn’t the same if you’re wading in line.
